A GAME CHANGER FOR CONSERVATION

It all started when…

We couldn't reliably send or receive information from our field trips, the communities had so much potential for biodiversity monitoring but there was often zero infrastructure. We needed data to build an evidence base but there was not even basic services like electricity let alone internet.

Amazon field expeditions are lengthy and expensive, all the incredible places we visited needed to be filmed and recorded and new places recommended by our local experts had to be filmed while we weren't there.

So in collaboration with Tosiconnect we developed a portable wifi hub that had to withstand the harsh Amazon climate, not just weather proof it had to also be ananconda, wild pig and ant proof and able to send data in real time from anywhere in the Amazon Jungle.
